Our Philosophy

Conscious Connections encompasses Conscious Parenting, Conscious Coaching, and Conscious Young People.

Becoming conscious of ourselves, and our actions, is the cornerstone of personal growth. The awareness and insights that are offered through coaching are invaluable. Our passion is changing people’s lives by unlocking their potential and enabling them to make their greatest impact.

Conscious Connections is a GC Partner and uses The GC Index® and Young People Index® as an assessment to help with coaching of individuals, teams and organisations, in personal, familial and executive coaching arenas.

We are great advocates for changing education to align it more with the work world in order to better prepare our youth for their futures. If we know anything, we know that life can be uncertain and the futures the youth face will be nowhere as linear or predictable what we faced. How do you prepare a person for an unpredictable future?

Our honest approach is firmly rooted in authenticity.

Conscious Parenting advocates and promotes awareness of the need for positive parenting in the community, to provide parenting and coaching services to parents and organisations. We bring positive parenting programs to the community through our Parent Education Department.

Serving Gauteng, KZN and CT, and now the world, Natalee provides one-on-one coaching to families who are eager to upgrade their parenting skills and bring peace and fun to their homes. She also works with teachers, counselors, and parents, presenting keynote addresses, workshops, and courses on empowering families.

Conscious Coaching focuses on self-awareness and personal growth. Changing people’s lives is our passion and our direct, non-judgemental approach is conducive to helping people shift and grow into their potential best selves. We work with individuals, teams, families and couples.

Conscious Young People is our passion. The world is changing faster than we can keep up with and young people are often stumbling to keep up, or to know where to go. Our enthusiasm for helping young people figure out who they are and what they bring to the world underpins our work in our future leadership development programmes, our work in education institutions, our work with aligning teaching and learning, and through our Lifetime Growth Club.

About Natalee

Natalee Holmes
Owner & Life Changer

Counsellor * Coach * Certified Parent Educator * Education Consultant * Life Changer * Leader Developer * Team Efficiency Facilitator

My journey into changing lives began with a Degree & Honours in Psychology. In my early career I worked in a clinical environment at a psychiatric hospital, at a pregnancy crisis centre, and a family crisis centre. Along the way I did various counselling courses and picked up a number of certifications. My love for learning and undertsanding people has led me along a very fulfilling path. I have always counselled and coached people and teams, and am constantly humbled by the significant trust people grant me with their well-being. I don’t take this lightly. The gravity of what I do is both energising and weighty, but every time I step out the door my family tell me to “go change lives”, and that is my passion – helping people change their lives for the better.

My career then took me into the education industry with various roles from Programme Manager, Course Director, Director of Education, Dean, and even in the trenches as a high school teacher and lecturer at two universities.

In my years of working with people, I have formed a philosphy about people, organisations, and educations institutions that is the foundation for my business and the work I do.

I believe…
people are inherently good and are born with the desire to improve
everyone has natural talent, and where natural talent and passion meet is where people can make their biggest impact
… education should build people up, not break them down
… learning is as diverse as people, and talent is as wide-ranging
… labels and boxes are limiting and lazy
… a binary system of academic and non-academic is archaic
… the linear, binary system of success and failure restricts ingenuity
… that learning should be exciting for everyone, and that it is possible to engage everyone
… we all need to be open to the diversity of thinking – an essential capacity for creativity is the ability to see many possible answers
… the culture of organisations matters – people need the space and opportunities to discover what they are good at
… life is not predetermined; it unfolds as we experience things which allows us to discover our world, and our world within
… collaboration is e
ssential for quality ideas, quality production and quality solutions
… we need to create future generations that are socially aware and accountable
… the school system should be a microcosm of the work world, to better prepare out youth for their future

I believe all of this is possible
